That's exactly what Maryn and Dre wanted for their August wedding at The Bradford in New Hill, North Carolina — just outside Charlotte — and it's why Heatherly Event Design was trusted with planning, design, and florals for the entire day. The Ceremony: A Floral-Lined Aisle at The Bradford
The Bradford's whitewashed brick facade, with its arched wooden double doors and tall magnolia trees, is already a ceremony backdrop most couples would dream of. Heatherly's design leaned into it rather than competing with it.
A crisp white aisle runner led the eye straight to the doors, flanked on both sides by lush, garden-style arrangements — clouds of white and blush blooms woven through ferns and soft greenery. The look was romantic but relaxed: loose and organic, like the flowers had grown up along the aisle themselves. Deep plum and burgundy foliage tucked near the steps added just enough contrast to keep the palette from washing out against the white brick. Dark wood ceremony chairs lined each side, warm and classic, tying the whole scene together.
It was late August in North Carolina, so the design worked with the season — fresh, abundant, and full of texture rather than heavy or formal.
The Reception: Candles, Greenery, and a Real Dinner Party
After the ceremony, the day shifted into full dinner-party mode.
